Alcohol Testing

Alcohol

Testing

Alcohol testing is used by organizations to determine if employees are impaired by alcohol. The Breathalyzer test is the most commonly used test for alcohol. The candidate breathes out into the device which monitors the air using an infrared cell. The ethanol concentration climbs as the breath continues. When the ethanol level stabilizes, the sample is analyzed. The volume of air each person has to blow depends on the size of the person, and of their lungs. The entire process takes about 1 minute for the results to be recorded.
