Background Check

A Level 1 Background Check is the most basic background check and is used by potential employers to make sure a candidate for hire is who they say they are, checking for aliases among other things. The candidate must provide their full name, date of birth, and social security number.
Inaccurate details (forgiving sometimes obvious unintentional errors) about employment history and hiring dates can usually be quickly detected. Criminal history and the National Sex Offender Registry are also looked at so that less desirable candidates can be removed from consideration.
Large discrepancies in information should be a warning for any employer and this helps to mitigate problems before one arises.
